2024-07-17T05:19:18.397Z | <Rishabh Dave> in following up with PRs that needed more testing, i forgot about this. have you created one? if not, i'll create one right away. |
2024-07-17T11:20:55.508Z | <Shyam Ranganathan> @Venky Shankar or @Patrick Donnelly is there a summary (or any) doc regarding how to get an efficient delta between 2 CephFS sub-directory snapshots? I was looking into older trackers and landed here: <https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/47034> (but that is afaict not being done) are there other enhancements in this area? |
2024-07-17T11:24:08.504Z | <Venky Shankar> AFK now, so briefly, yes @Jos Collin integrated snapdiff based scanning in the mirror daemon (still baking in main branch, not yet backported) |
2024-07-17T11:26:09.079Z | <Shyam Ranganathan> Ack! thanks. When you are back, would like to understand snapdiff (or pointers to the same), to see how to use it outside the mirror context. (or @Jos Collin) |
2024-07-17T11:27:12.221Z | <Shyam Ranganathan> This should potentially be the start point I guess: <https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/43546> |
2024-07-17T11:35:43.779Z | <Venky Shankar> correct |
2024-07-17T11:49:46.368Z | <Hutch> Hi All, I've been following this bug report for some time now and have not been getting any responses back from it. im just looking for someone to take a look into it so we can get it resolved
I currently have a customer experiencing this issue which is stopping them from accessing their data
I believe @Xiubo Li is the assignee to this bug
<https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/50719> |
2024-07-17T13:13:26.499Z | <Rishabh Dave> @Kotresh H R you mentioned in standup that you are hitting a bug with root_squash, perhaps it is this one? <https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/66076> |
2024-07-17T15:32:09.799Z | <Frank Troost> somebody has an clue/tip/solution, i don't know where to continue or get in contact with someone with any ceph experience. The cephfs datapool only contain inconsistent files, can there be something wrong with compression maybe? I am unable to find someone in the same spot as me. |
